She’s got news – news she wasn’t expecting.

Ever felt in desperate need of a haircut or a life reset? Wished your troubles away at the backwash unit? Immerse yourself in the salon, where you can be vulnerable amidst the smells of hot hair. Four stories intricately weave with the complexities of disability and healthcare. A daring aerial theatre show celebrating resilience and unapologetic joy through humour, pop culture and hairdryers.

A photo of a performer suspended in the air using a bunch of ropes wrapped around her body.

Created by Farrell Cox, a playful theatre maker using her own experiences to tell stories, where audiences feel free to laugh, scream, chant or cry. Cocoon follows Farrell’s autobiographical solo show Ambivalence, which Lyn Gardner praises as: “So well thought through in every aspect”.

‘Fabulous and inspiring’ – Adrian Berry, Jacksons Lane
