How to get involved with Circus City

Circus City is committed to being an equal opportunities employer whether you are an artist, professional creative or volunteer. All of our upcoming opportunities will be listed here on our website. We will also share these on partners websites and listing sites to ensure the widest reach.

All new jobs will be listed with BSL and audio transcriptions and applications can be submitted in writing or as a video.

Where possible, we will host Q&A sessions for people wishing to apply for new roles so you can learn more about what the role entails.

Freelance Team

We work with a regular wider team of individuals as freelance staff for festivals and projects.

If you would like to be added to our pool of Freelance Production Staff please send your details to: nicole (@) bristolcircuscity.com

Volunteering

Circus City Festival relies on the support of a wide range of volunteers from our committed Board of Trustees through to stewards at festival events. Benefits of volunteering include:

  • experience in a professional arts setting
  • training
  • getting to see shows for free and tickets to additional shows in return for each shift covered
  • ability to connect with wider peers and meet new friends

Our Volunteer Board of Trustees lead the strategic direction of Handstand Arts, the producers of Circus City festival and wider work.

If you are interested in becoming a Trustee you can get in touch with our Chair of the Trustees by contacting kate(@)katewebb.co.uk

Artist Commissions and Opportunities

All artist opportunities will be listed on our website on our Artist Opportunities page. Occasionally we may also share opportunities from partners.
